Mysterious Banner Appears at Cheadle Hospital

This morning, 17th of April 2025, a rather odd banner was spotted at our local hospital. Not as one might have expected to see lodging in the ground but spread across the shrubbery. Fearing vandalism and for the future of our hospital, Editor Lori took this snap.

A representative from Cheadle Hospital informed our editor that they had removed the sign which had mysteriously appeared overnight. Contrary to what the sign suggested, the hospital is thriving, with full wards and numerous facilities in operation.  

The hospital management is attempting to find the person responsible for this misleading sign. It's unusual because the sign is of high quality, securely attached to two posts, allowing for a quick installation. It lacks any organisational branding, which is uncommon for signage.

Who could be behind this? We have some ideas, but if this sign is yours, please contact Cheadle Hospital, who wishes to return it to its owner. IIf you know who ordered or installed the sign, please inform the hospital.

Not only is this sign untrue, but it is detrimental to the hardworking staff and alarming for patients too.
