CATS drama double horror
A double bill of two classic short horror stories presented in the format of radio plays.
The Monkey’s Paw is a horror short story by English author W. W. Jacobs which tells of the supernatural powers of a mummified monkey’s paw which can grant three wishes to those that possess it. But…… beware of the hellish consequences as punishment for tampering with fate!
The Signal-Man is a horror mystery story by Charles Dickens which tells the tale of a railway signalman haunted by a spectre and who receives phantom warnings of danger each of which is followed by a terrible accident.

If you are planning to visit the lantern parade and the CATS Theatre Production, the Parade finishes at the Guild Hall in time for the production. Giving a true light and dark experience.

The Lantern Parade will be a fantastic finale to the Arts Festival 2024 Programme of events. The community have been busy making lanterns at our workshops to make a stunning visual display. Spark Drummers have been booked.

This is event is being funded and delivered in collaboration with Outside and is Free to attend

~ Cheadle Market is hosting an Arts, Crafts and & Artisans Market.
~ Artists showcase & exhibition is set up in Guild Hall – one day only.
~Public judging of the Photographic Competition is taking place in the Oakley Room at the Guild Hall. Get your photo entries in first thing in the morning then come during the day and choose your favourites to win.
~There will be entertainers around town, including Morris Dancers.

We have included the Wave of Light Service for Baby Loss Awareness Week in the Arts Festival programme because we are working with local charity A Child of Mine. Anyone that has been affected by baby loss is invited to attend this free service at the Wellspring Methodist Church in Cheadle. The service starts at 6.30pm and candles are lit at 7pm.

An afternoon of performances including: Cheadle Community Choir, Uke3A - Ukulele bank, U3A band, and Amy Lou Dancers. Refreshments and cakes will be available to enjoy during the performances. Performers will be running 15 - 20 minute sets during the course of the afternoon. Come and stay as long as you like.
